"Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. He’s going to have to make some really tough - I don’t know what the decision’s going to be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s going to happen.”
Biden said he can envision four or five scenarios that might arise to challenge the new president. He cited Russia or the Middle East as possible sources of trouble.
Only days before Obama chose him as his vice presidential candidate, Biden returned to the US from a trip to Georgia. While there he met the country's weird president Saakashvili, who is spoiling for the US to take on Russia at Georgia's behest.
BIden declared he had left Georgia,
"convinced that Russia's invasion of Georgia may be one of the most significant events to occur in Europe since the end of communism."
