The Bush-appointed FCC, which controls US radio and TV licenses, decided to try destroying still more of Janet Jackson's singing career. This week the agency asked an appeals court to bless its ruling "in determining that the most widely viewed broadcast of public nudity in television history fell within the federal prohibitions on broadcast indecency." Jackson's breast flashed for nine-sixteenths of a second during her 1994 Superbowl performance with Justin Timberlake.
