The EU spotlight is about to shift away from French president Sarkozy and onto Czech president Václav Klaus (photo left). About the only thing they have in common is that both breathe through their lungs. Their views on the EU are poles apart, with Sarkozy's garrulous clown-like approach giving way to the almost anti-EU standpoint of the very formal, scholarly Klaus.
