
German chancellor Angela Merkel is facing more pressure than she has known. Her fellow EU leaders, soe German politicians and many businesses decry Merkel's reluctance to ask Germ tapayers to finance the horrendously costly bailouts that other nations are flinging at the world financial crisis. But is it so wrong to keep the multi-billions for now, in case they are needed later?
